LGBTQ2S+ Competency Training - Langely
Event Information
Description
Langley is home to the Stó:lō Nation, or River People, a group of First Nations peoples inhabiting
the Fraser Valley. The city is situated on territorial lands and hosts an annual Salmon Ceremony.
LGBTQ2S+ seniors, caregivers and their allies are invited to attend an LGBTQ2S+ Competency Workshop, co-hosted by Seniors of Langely and QMUNITY, BC's queer, trans and two-spirit resource centre.
QMUNITY's education & training department facilitates over 100 workshops a year for service providers, health care professionals, educators and beyond. Workshops are highly interactive, engaging and offer an opportunity to explore the complexities and potential of serving diverse gender identities and sexualities within an intersectional and anti-oppressive framework.
QMUNITY would like to thank Langley Seniors Resource Society and Seniors of Langley for graciously offering to act as "local-hosts" for this workshop.
Light refreshments and hospitality will be provided.
Parking details will be uploaded upon final selection of the workshop venue.
Please keep the space as accessible as possible, and try to refrain from applying scented/perfumed cosmetics within 24 hours of the workshop.
