Lila Familia ~ Reflections

What more is there to say? Let our reflections echo our deepest knowing. Come be in nature and dance with us. We're having the event up north again on June 1st, at the same place it was in April ~ it's on the way towards Collingwood, just off Airport Rd, just south of Creemore ~

Come for early afternoon on Saturday the 1st if you'd like to spend some time in nature ~ bring some food to share in the early evening if you think you'll be hungry, potluck style ~ we'll make some food at the outdoor kitchen space in the early evening around 6pm or so ~

We'll move inside around 8pm and have some gentle music playing ~ at that time we'll stretch out, relax and prep for the dance ~ we'll drop into silence by 8:30pm and make our movements meditative ~ around 9pm we'll launch into our dance journey, which will be about 2hrs long ~ likely finishing up that portion by 11pm or so ~

We'll finish our ecstatic dance journey with a closing circle and open up the space for more relaxed hanging out, and hopefully more dance if the spirit should move us ~ we have intention to play music into the night still, with Jeff, Tegan, Paz, and Julien all playing in turn ~ rolling from deep dubstep, to midtempo folkoric electronic, right through uplifted tech-house ~ we'll likely curtail the festivities around 3 or 4am and take rest at that timeIf you do want to stay overnight you can bring a tent or stay around in the loft space where the music is ~ there's lots of cushions and mats, sorta collective crash pad style ~ and again, there will be music playing fairly loud for a good portion of the night ~ if you feel like an adventure into the night, please stick around for follow up late night dances and whatever other adventures ~

1pm till 3pm ~ Arrival, settling in, nature time

6pm till 8pm ~ Potluck style meal at the outdoor kitchen

8pm till 9pm ~ Making our way inside for meditative prep for dance

9pm till 11pm ~ Ecstatic dance

10:30pm till 11pm ~ Meditation and closing circle

11pm till 4am ~ Music to carry us into the night

We'll accept cash at the door, or you can buy a ticket online in advance ~ the cost is $50 per person ~ if you just want to come for the dance portion and you're finding that too much to pay, then just write us a message and we'll figure something out ~ on the other hand, if you're coming for the whole day, having a sauna, sharing food, staying for the dance, and overnight into Sunday, you might find that $50 feels too little ~ if it's within your means, we'd encourage you to offer any further contribution you feel would be appropriate ~
