LIMINAL ASSEMBLY: Dead Malls Field Trip (Chinatown, North York, Rexdale)

Join us on the magic school bus and visit 4 zoned-for-developement malls in the GTA. These relics of the past might have you shed a tear. We'll start with Chinatown Centre, a once thriving 4-story shopping centre and hotel complex, now neary empty and in disrepair. Next stop: North York Sheridan Mall, a literal time-portal into the year 1990. Get your sillybandz and tamagotchis and don't be late for the bus, because we're heading to the Woodbine Fantasy Fair and all it's 1980s glory. Get lost in the jungle gym, but not before eating enough tiny donuts to catch a tummy ache. Warning: you might lose your parents. Do panic. Next up, the miraculous High Point Mall, a step into the 1970s. Smoking indoors was permitted for most of this mall's life. Hopefully you've bought something worth showing off by now, because on the trip home to Union Station, it's show-and-tell time.
