Lougheed House: Guided Museum Tours
Event Information
About this event
Our doors are open and we are offering guided indoor tours to visiting guests of Lougheed House! Come experience the house and its History through the eyes of Lougheed House Interpreters. On your guided tour you will learn about the history of the House, the people who occupied it, and some of the behind-the-scenes stories we learned from researching the process of restoring the building over 15 years ago.
From March 10th through June 26th 2022 you will also be able to take in our current exhibition YYC Bread Stories. The exhibit features stories about bread, recipes, and cultural communities. It also looks into the history of early Calgary bakeries and a brief history of sourdough starters in western Canada. More information can be found on our Current Exhibitions page.
Combine your taste of history with a meal in the Lougheed House Restaurant! Reservations are recommended and menu information can be found on our Restaurant page.
Our Shop will be open if you’re inspired to take home a unique gift item from one of our local artists and artisans.
Please note that tour group sizes remain small in order to facilitate physical distancing. Masking is recommended. If you are feeling unwell on the day of your tour we ask that you please stay home and reschedule your visit for another time.
Note: The ticket for your guided tour includes access to the house and does not need to be purchased alongside an admission fee.
