About this event

In a world filled with so much conflict and strife, how do I move beyond duality, taking sides? How do I stay grounded and also open my heart in offering kindness and Light to people and situations in need? Can I also offer this loving kindness to myself?

Ancient prayers hold wisdom in how we can deepen our understanding of what is required to open more fully to Loving Kindness. We will be focusing on some of the lines from prayers used at the Ashram as well as visualisations, breath, relaxation and reflection.

About Swami Samayananda

Swami Samayananda manages the teaching schedules and teachers at Yasodhara Ashram. She has been an educator for over 35 years in educational institutions, businesses, private consulting agencies and Yasodhara Ashram and Radha Centres. While living at the Ottawa Radha Centre, Swami Samayananda worked with a palliative care team and a cancer centre offering yogic tools to support patients.

About Amy Allcock

Amy first encountered the teachings in 2008 and was immediately drawn to the Light and the integration of spiritual practices and self-inquiry.  In 2013, Amy embarked on her own journey by completing the Yoga Development Course, and for the next five years, she lived, worked, and taught at the Ashram. Amy is grateful for the transformative time spent living in community and the foundation it provided.  She has made the Kootenays her home and finds immense joy in sharing the wisdom and grace of these teachings with others.
