Join Mad Science for the Mad STEM Explorers Summer Camp!
Mad STEM Explorers: A full week of Jam-packed fun for future scientists, engineers, and history hunters. Campers put on paleontology hats and go looking for prehistorical treasure! They follow the million-year process that changes a creature into a fossil. Campers discover how certain conditions can preserve objects and help us better understand ancient cultures and historical events. They investigate the arches, forces and other concepts with the Engineers hat. One day they learn about the mystery-solving techniques. Hands-on learning, take-home projects and much more!!
22 July: Junior Engineers: Check out shapes and why they are so strong! Investigate arches and geodesic domes. Test loads and build some bridges when you put on an engineer’s hat and learn about structures.
23 July: Chemical Engineers: Enter in the chemistry lab and try the experiments that looks messy but create wonderful results. Work on your fun chemicals and then take the projects home. Learn about molecule bonding and more!
24 July: History Hunters:Campers put on paleontologist hats and go looking for prehistorical treasure! They follow the million-year process that changes a creature into a fossil. Learn to cast fossils to take-home.
25 July: Ancient Artifacts: Campers learn aboutancient civilizations! Weather and weathering can alternatively bury and uncover societies from the past. They use their observational skills to piece together the puzzle of the past.
26 July: Mad Investigators: Towards to the end of the week campers learn the skills and tools used in investigating a mystery. They will be a spy for a while and learn how messages can be sent secretly with scientific methods.
Ages 5-10 years old.
Dates: July 22-26, 2024
Full-day camp from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Early drop-off from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 to 4:30 PM late pick-up available with no additional cost.
Participants can attend for the full week or drop-in for individual days.
Community League Member* = $240/week, $49/day for drop-in
Non-Member = $255/week, $53/day for drop-in
* Must have a valid community league membership (any league) to get the discounted rate.
