What is Mahlete Gumaye?

A cultural initiative in Ethiopia's Tigray, aimed at documenting, preserving, researching, and promoting cultural heritage materials with a special focus on the endangered ones. The nomenclature of the initiative is derived from an indigenous value-laden folksong called 'Gumaye'.
