Make Your Own Cotton and Beeswax Food Wrap
Event Information
About this Event
Join me at the studio to make your own set of 4 reusable beeswax and 100% cotton food wraps. This is great for fruits, vegetables, sandwiches and to cover bowls and store your leftovers - even use them to cover cups in the warmer months to keep those pesky fruit flies away! The wax wrap warms up with the heat of your hands and holds its shape until you flatten it out again. It can be wiped with soapy water and a cloth to keep it clean. I don't recommend using this wrap for raw meat, but cooked is ok! They last about a year and then can be cut into small pieces and thrown into your compost bin! This class will also save you some money as these was wraps retail for around $15-20+ each! For $25 you will get a set of 4 and have a fun time learning how easy it is to make your own!
This class is fun and relaxed! Small class size of 12 ensures everyone gets one on one help if you need it! You will be painting the melted wax onto your choice of 4 fabrics of your choice! I will have a hot iron as well as a back up should anyone need to smooth out the wax. I will have stacks of fabric ready for you to choose your own set. Enjoy refreshments and good company! Make new friends! Linger as long as you like and enjoy the scenery of the farm. I hope you will join me for this useful and crafty DIY workshop!
