The Mississauga Canoe Club (MCC) is pleased to present the 19th Annual Mississauga Dragon Boat Festival. The event will be held on Sunday, June 9th. 2024 at the mouth of the Credit River in Port Credit and once again promises to be a fantastic event, marking the 66th year of the Mississauga Canoe Club.

The MCC is a not-for-profit sports organization that has served the youth of Mississauga for 66 years. The club provides a wide range of year-round programs for the Mississauga community and has produced many world class and Olympic athletes. How does it work?
Organizations enter teams of 18 to 24 people. Each entry is limited to a maximum of 24 team members. A dragon boat holds up to 20 people but may be raced with fewer. You may also want to have spares so you can switch during the day of races.
What are entry rules for mixed teams?
Mixed teams must have a minimum of eight and a maximum of ten paddlers of each gender.
How Many races can we expect to be in?
Each team will participate in two heats and one ‘final’. Medals will be awarded for each final and team pictures will be taken.
What time does the event start?
The event will start at 7:15 a.m. with team registration followed by the Team Captains Meeting at 7:45 a.m. Races will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will run until approximately 3:30 p.m.
What Should I bring?
Pack for the weather! Refillable water bottle, chair, and umbrella or tent. Local favorite, Cousin's Market will be on site with tasty lunch options, snacks, and drinks. Merchant vendors will be available throughout the day and the MDBF Beer Garden will return for a second year, sponsored by Glory Days Brewing Company! The classic rock band "Somethings Always Flying" also returns for a second year, bringing some great live music.

Do I have to bring my printed registration to the event?
You do not, we have an online record available to retrieve upon check-in. After registration, all Team members must fill out an online waiver (see gomissygo.ca - Events - MDBF).
