================================

You don’t need to sit a perfect lotus position or empty your mind to meditate. You don’t even have to be vegan or do yoga to meditate. You can just be you in meditation.

Meditation is a technique designed to train your mind to concentrate differently (Forbes, 2022). It is a practice where you learn to regulate your mind, body and breath which has long-lasting advantages for your mental health and daily life. Meditating can even help you access a deeper state of self-awareness, calm and positivity.

Meditation can help focus our busy minds, calm the nervous system, and get connected to our empathetic & compassionate state of mind. Leave this session with a sense of calm, peace, and balance that can benefit your emotional well-being and overall health.

Benefits of meditation include:

  • Lowering your stress and anxiety
  • Creating space for empathy and compassion for yourself and others
  • Increasing your focus and productivity
  • Allowing you to tap into your parasympathetic nervous system, restoring the body and creating a state of calm and healing

This session is open to everyone but please note that space is limited in the Physicians' Lounge. Please RSVP by Friday, April 21 to secure your spot!
