What is Free Periods Canada?

Free Periods Canada is on a mission to make menstrual health equitable in Canada. We conduct research to inform and support advocacy work for menstrual equity, connect people and advocacy organizations together to build community, and provide those in need with period supplies.

What makes Menstrual Equity 101 unique?

It combines live workshops and self-paced learning on CHARMS. It is designed to meet the needs of youth service providers. It uses an intersectional lens as part of menstruation education. It ensures digital accessibility.

Who is Menstrual Equity 101 for?

The workshop is for K-12 Educators, Mental Health Counsellors and Social Workers, Sexual Health Educators and Gender Identity Support Services, Healthcare Workers and Professionals, and Youth Service Providers.

What can I expect from this workshop?

You will be able to understand what period poverty is and its impacts on the youth you serve, as well as the wider population, learn to identify the pivotal role of education in achieving menstrual equity and develop the ability to effectively engage in conversations about menstruation.
