In honour of Mental Health Week 2024, CMHA Hamilton is pleased to announce that we are hosting several community training opportunities’ in Spring 2024 including safeTALK, ASIST and MHFA. These opportunities were brought forth under our Roots of Hope suicide prevention project, which is a collaboration between CMHA Hamilton and the Suicide Prevention Community Council of Hamilton (SPCCH). As such, all trainings will be delivered by CMHA Hamilton and offered at-cost due to a generous donation from the SPCCH.

SafeTALK Training – In Person

"At a LivingWorks safeTALK workshop, you'll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. A skilled, supportive trainer will guide you through the course, and a community resource will be on hand to support your safety and comfort." (Living Works, 2023)

Tuesday, May 28th 2024 (9:00 - 12:30 PM) - Please note that this is a certificate based training which means you much be fully present for the ensure duration of the training (both days). No exceptions will be made.

Cost: $20.00 + Eventbrite Registration Fee (reduced fee as this training was sponsored by the SPCCH
