Miniature Painting Workshop from Start to Finish
Event Information
Description
Have you splashed some colour on your board game miniatures in the past and want to make them really jump off the table? Now's your chance to take your skills to the next level! This event is limited to 24 participants.
Geoff Davis will be walking you through painting the Reaper Bones miniature, Olivia the Cleric (see an example paint job here: http://www.belminiart.com/lauman/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Olivia-Female-Priestess.gif)
Geoff will have a projecter setup so that you can follow along and bring some life to this miniature. Along the way you will pick up techniques that can be applied to other miniatures you wish to paint.
This workshop is tailored for people that have tried painting at least one minitaure in the past and want to improve their skills to get tabletop-ready results. This event will go slightly beyond the techniques explored in previous painting events. While not necessary, it will be helpful if you know the basics of basecoating, shades, and highlighting. Again, this is not a requirement! Beginner painters are always welcome since our instructor will be using a very step-by-step approach.
Supplies will be provided on site in the form of paints, brushes, etc.. We will be using paints from the Reaper miniatures gaming line which are water-based acrylics
Miniature painting isn't extremely messy but to be on the safe side, you should wear clothes that you don't mind getting paint on. We use water based acrylics so in my experience they do come out in the wash.
This event will cost $10 plus tax to cover supplies and the fee also includes a free non-alcoholic beverage. The free tickets below are just to track the limited seating
