Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression. It happens during certain seasons of the year, most often Fall or Winter. People who have normal mental health throughout most of the year could exhibit symptoms depression at the same time each year. Shorter days and less daylight may trigger a chemical change in the brain leading to symptoms of depression. This workshop will highlight symptoms and coping skills as well as treatment for SAD.
