Guest Speakers:

Megan Wanchuk is the Forage and Livestock Program Manager at LARA. She was born and raised on a cow-calf operation in Boyne Lake, Alberta. Megan completed a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree from the University of Saskatchewan with a major in Animal Science and a minor in Field Crop Production.

In the spring of 2022, Megan completed a Master of Science degree in Range Science from North Dakota State University. Her master’s research compared livestock production and forage quality on different grazing management strategies. Megan continues to be involved in her family’s ranch, where she runs a small herd of cattle alongside her parents and brother.

Kellie Nichiporik is the Executive Director and Environmental Program Manager with Lakeland Agricultural Research Association, and the Chair of the Moose Lake Watershed Society. She is passionate about the environment and enjoys sharing and educating others about stewardship of the land, air and water. She has her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Alberta, and completed her Masters of Water Security from the University of Saskatchewan in 2021.

Kellie is an avid photographer, gardener and community volunteer. She is passionate about travel and has been to every continent; appreciating the chance to experience new cultures and places.
