"Ya I felt it, everyone can needle felt!"
Alana will lead participants on a journey of free form felting, as this is a medium best understood through experience. It doesn’t take long for people to understand how the wool compresses with extended felting, can be added to, or cut away. As people experiment, forms begin to emerge from the wool fibre, and a small unique sculpture will take shape. Depending on personal preference, attendees can turn these into good luck charms, kitchen/studio deities, or they can remain the first step in a new craft that they can pursue further at their leisure at home!
This workshop is for all ages but participants should be advised that we will be using sharp needles for this event. All materials are included and registration is required.
A Note on Pricing: UHA pays all of our artists appropriate rates set via CARFAC (Canadian Artists Representation/Le Front des Artistes Canadiens). All proceeds made via workshop fees go directly to paying the artists and to paying for materials needed to run the workshop.
