What is the Work in Manitoba portal and Newcomer Employment Hub?

These are free websites that job seekers and employers can use to sign up to find jobs and for employers to hire job seekers.

I need help creating a profile on the portal, who do I contact?

Job seekers are invited to contact their Career Coach or Employment Facilitator at Manitoba Start or the Immigrant Centre for support.

Do I have to stay at the event from 9:00-5:00?

No. You are welcome to come anytime between 9:00-5:00 and visit the employers you are interested in.

What should I bring to the event?

Bring copies of your resume, cover letter, job seeker portfolio, or other relevant information.

I cannot attend the event on March 7th. Can I still find jobs with employers who are hiring?

Yes! Employers will register for the portals as part of the event. You will be able to be connected through the portal to their job openings that match your profile.
