Nobody's Perfect is a program for parents/caregivers of children aged 0-5 years, where parents/caregivers can support one another and build community in a fun and interactive environment. Our focus will be on the day-to-day issues that arise when caring for young children, in a group that centers the experiences of queer families.

Registration is required for this program (it is not a drop-in), and it is free to participate. Once you have signed up, one of our facilitators will text you to arrange a time to chat about what you can expect from the program, find out what you'd like to get out of our time together, and finish the registration process. Registration will be limited to 10 parents/caregivers

Facilitators:

Syd Bosel (she/her) is a parenting educator who was born and raised in East Vancouver. She now lives in the traditional unceded territory of the K'omoks First Nation, on Vancouver Island. She has devoted over 25 years supporting parents of children birth to age 6 in their journey of parenthood. She brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion, and a good dose of humour, too! She is trained in a wide variety of parenting programs and is also a trainer & mentor of new facilitators of the Nobody's Perfect Program.

Benjamin Wilder (they/them) is a queer single parent living on the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Watuth Nations. Prior to becoming a parent, they worked as a nanny for 10 years. With almost 18 years of facilitation experience, and 5 years leading peer Dialectical Behavioural Therapy skills groups with people from diverse backgrounds, Benjamin is passionate about supporting families of all shapes and sizes. They are so excited to be co-facilitating Nobody's Perfect!
