Following our recent collective resolve to begin to change the narrative and foster a closely-knitted community that promotes a more collaborative and impactful relationship amongst ourselves as Nigerians, all the volunteers who indicated interest in championing the cause have convened and come up with the following:
A summer networking/family meet-up event will hold during the 2020 summer season.
The aim of this event is to get us to begin to build more long lasting and beneficial relationships beyond the virtual space...
Our hopes are that through putting of faces to names, and establishment of stronger bonds as a community, we would attain the level of trust and confidence in ourselves that will aid in building a solid network that will be of immense value and impact in our new country, Canada!
In the coming weeks, different departments of the Volunteer Group will be providing information and updates, as well as calling on us for recommendations, resources, and other things that will be of help to this cause.
We look forward to having the support and encouragement of the whole house in attaining the desired outcome.
