If possible, please come before 530 PM, as we will start the safety talk and head into the trails for 530 PM. We are losing daylight hours in the evening pretty quickly now, with dusk by 730 PM on this day.

Meeting place: West end (far end) of Terwillegar parking lot

Trails: Terwillegar - 14, Terwillegar - 24, Mud Slide, Terwillegar - 2, Terwillegar - 10, Terwillegar - 11, Terwillegar - 25, Beware of Beaver (BOB), Slough North, Slough East, Twisted Sister, Twisted's Little Sister, Arc Alt, Terwillegar meadow,

Type: trimming and dirt work (level 1/2)

Please bring :

Appropriate footwear (steel toe or leather work boots for dirt work). No sandals or other open toe footwear

Gloves (will be provided for you if you don't bring), leather gloves are required for working with EMBA tools

Masks are required when not able to keep social distancing (will be provided for you if you don't bring)

Tools: Pruners, rakes, shovels, pails, and trimmers. (No tools? No worries, we have lots of well maintained tools sanitized for you to use as well)

Water, Eye Protection, bug spray and adequate clothing for the weather of the day

Cancellations due to weather or other: If we need to cancel, we will do so no later than 430 pm of the trail day. Please monitor your email from eventbrite for cancellations.

COVID Considerations to help mitigate risk: EMBA wants to take every pre-caution to continue trail work while continuing to focus on making sure our volunteers are safe and healthy.

Please bring your own gloves. If you do not bring your own gloves we will supply you with them. Wearing gloves is required for work on any EMBA Tools

Do not share any tools or other items with anyone under any circumstances during the trail day. Once assigned an EMBA tool, it is your responsibility for the entire trail day, and will be requested to sanitize it once finished.

Do not carpool to the event unless you live together

Keep work groups small, and keep a minimum of 6 feet/2 meters from others at all times, similar to the safe work zone when using tools.

If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so. Masks will be providing when work requires working inside the safe work zone

All signups and waivers for events will be done online through eventbrite. Those who have not registered and accepted the waivers online will not be allowed to participate.
