On June 1st, our friend, Haudenosaunee artisan, Susan Hill, will be returning to McDougall Cottage to lead another of her popular beading workshops. This time around, Susan will be showing participants how to create an Orange Shirt Day pin. This special symbol is worn on September 30th in the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation and to show a collective commitment to ensure that Every Child Matters.
Over the course of the afternoon, Susan will be teaching participants how to create this beaded pin on a leather backing and everyone will take with them a very special handmade piece.
This workshop is best for people age 12 years and up.
