Courtice Branch, Fireside Lounge
Sundays, ONovember 5th to 19th

1:30, 1:50, or 2:10 p.m.
20 minute, one-on-one three-week sessions.
Participants may book one session per branch.

[Ages 6 and up]


The Paws to Read® program is designed to match children with a certified therapy dog and their handler for a fun one-on-one reading session! Studies have shown that reading to dogs encourages confidence and boosts self-esteem in children. Reading out loud to a Paws to Read® dog boosts literacy and makes reading fun!

Presented in partnership with Therapeutic Paws of Canada, a non-profit charitable organization.

  • Session 1: Wednesdays, September 13th to 27th;
  • Session 2: Wednesdays, October 4th to 18th; or
  • Session 3: Wednesdays, October 25th to November 8th
  • Courtice Branch Sessions
  • Session 1: Sundays, September 17th to October 1st;
  • Session 2: Sundays, October 15th to 29th; or
  • Session 3: Sundays, November 5th to 19th


No charge. Advanced registration is required for each 20 minute; space is limited Register online, in person, or by phone. Participants may book one session per branch.
