Social Walk

Relax, Chat, and Stroll!

Escape the hustle and bustle and join us for our "Chill and Chat" program, where relaxation meets socialization in a friendly and laid-back environment. Bonfire

  • Chill & Chat: Sit back in your camping chair, indulge in your favourite snacks, and enjoy good company in a relaxed atmosphere.

Archery

April 9 and June 4: Rawlinson Park: 11715 Leslie St. Richmond Hill

Ready, Aim, Fire! Join us for an archery session at the beautiful Phyllis Rawlinson Park. Instruction will be provided. Great for any level of experience. We recommend wearing shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. Note: The ground is uneven at the Archery Range.

When you arrive at the facility, continue driving on the main driveway all the way to the back of the property. Park next to the blue barns and meet at the old farmhouse.

Orienteering

April 23: Rawlinson Park: 11715 Leslie St. Richmond Hill

Join us for Richmond Hill’s more active game: Orienteering Bingo! Use a map and compass to track down a variety of hidden symbols around the park. The first to fill their card wins!

Note: It is recommended to bring footwear if you are okay with getting muddy. The paths can be wet and muddy.

When you arrive at the facility, park at the first main parking lot. We will meet outside of the small wooden house.

Garden Party

Join Our Garden Party: Replanting the BIAYR Garden Plot!

Get your green thumbs ready for an enjoyable day outdoors at our Garden Party! We're excited to invite BIAYR members to help us replant the BIAYR Garden Plot. This event is not just about gardening; it's a celebration of nature, community, and the joy of growing together.

Event Highlights:

  • Community Gardening: Be a part of revitalizing the BIAYR Garden Plot. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a novice, your contribution will help our garden flourish.
  • All Supplies Provided: We've got everything you need - from plants to gardening tools. Just bring your enthusiasm!
  • Socialize and Relax: Enjoy great company in the great outdoors. Feel free to bring your camping chair, sit back, and chat with fellow garden enthusiasts.

What to Expect:

  • A friendly and inclusive environment, perfect for socialization.
  • Hands-on gardening experience with guidance and support from our team.
  • An opportunity to learn about planting techniques and garden care.

Vertical Playground

May 21: Eyer: 1045 Elgin Mills Rd. E. Richmond Hill

Join us for an adventure at heights! We'll play in the Vertical Playground, an obstacle course from the ground up! All harnesses, helmets, etc. are included. Wear closed-toe shoes and athletic clothing. Meet at the picnic shelter next to the parking lot.

**Please note that these outdoor programs are safe for adults with brain injuries; however, we do not provide staffing for the attendees. A member of our volunteer Board will be in attendance; however, they will not be able to provide support services or care**
