PLAYSMELTER '24 - THE NOWS BY AVERY MCMILLAN

The Nows is a story about three friends and a cactus called back to a long summer by the lake. Lavender, Mar, and Eunice are tested in their quest to retrieve Milton II from across the bay, but what’s more is all they conceal. This play explores themes of friendship, time, and entering adulthood.

Avery McMillan is a playwright and theatre creator from Sault Ste Marie studying Dramaturgy and Drama Studies and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Their previous plays include Itinerary and The Vinyl Problem, which received Notable Newbie at Fringe North 2021.
