Tony joined Eight Capital in July 2012 and brings with him extensive experience in corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions, business and operational development and corporate strategy. Tony was previously Partner and Head of Energy at Genuity Capital Markets prior to being acquired by Canaccord Capital. Over the past 5 years, Tony has led or co-led over 40 financings raising a total of ~$2.0 billion as well as acted as advisor on 35 transactions for a total transaction value of ~$9.0 billion across the domestic, international, and oil sands industries.

Trevor Fencott lends his wisdom and entrepreneurial experience in his role as Chief Executive Officer for Fire & Flower. Specializing in regulatory compliance, social responsibility and corporate management, he brings over 20 years of success in Canadian business to the organization. Before joining Fire & Flower, Mr. Fencott co-founded Mettrum Health, growing the business to Canada’s second largest licensed cannabis producer before its sale to Canopy Growth for $430M in 2017. He has also served as Vice-Chair of the Cannabis Canada Association, representing 75% of Canada’s cannabis industry to Health Canada. Mr. Fencott’s background as a corporate and regulatory lawyer positions Fire & Flower for leadership and growth as the retailer launches shops countrywide.
