About this event

Participants will be invited to learn and think about how engaging with people using trauma- and violence-informed approaches (regardless of whether they present with signs of trauma) improves human engagement and interaction in both the immediate and long term.

By the end of this workshop, participants should expect to:

  1. Describe why sensitivity to trauma during interpersonal interactions matters;
  2. List at least one principle of trauma- and violence-informed practice;
  3. Identify at least two ways in which they might do less harm when interacting with people.

Please note: If you would like to attend this webinar after it has begun, but had not registered in advance for it, please email OFDP@ucalgary.ca, and whenever possible, you will be sent a Zoom link to attend.
