MEOPAR Annual Training Meeting Pre-Conference Workshop

Project Management One-Day Intensive

Presenter: Robyn Roscoe, PMP

This workshop is open to Highly-Qualified Personnel (HQP) in the MEOPAR Network who have the support of their supervisors to attend.

MEOPeers who register for the workshop also commit to attending MEOPAR's Annual Training Meeting (June 11-12) and Annual Science Meeting (June 13-14th) in Victoria, BC.

This limited-seating, intensive workshop will cover project initiation and planning, with an emphasis on project scope, time, cost and risk management.

Participants will work in teams (4-6 people per team) to develop small projects, such as marine conference/workshop planning, research project website development, or knowledge mobilization program launch. Starting with strategic question, through scope planning, stakeholder identification, schedule construction, and budget development, teams will complete project plans that could be launched by the end of the day.

This workshop is highly interactive, and aimed to enable participants to put concepts into practice quickly and effectively.

Breakfast, lunch and coffee will be provided.

Workshop registrants will be required to participate in three introductory one-hour webinars on Project Management. These webinars will be offered in February, March and April 2019. Register now on MEOPAR's website.
