Project SEARCH is a 10-month employment preparation program for students with a primary diagnosis of an intellectual or developmental disability who are in their final year of high school. Students reach their employment goals through real-life work experience (3 co-ops/internships immersed at a host business), combined with training in employability and life skills and employment planning and support. Partnerships are essential to Project SEARCH - between a school board, employment service organization, host business (training site) and other community supports.
These information sessions are hosted by: Community Living Oakville, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Ontario Disability Employment Network and Project SEARCH.
