Behaviour Consultation and Intervention Services presents the following Fall Caregiver Empowerment Workshops. Attend a session to learn about a variety of topics to support your child or youth’s behaviour and learning. Workshops will include presentation of information, small group discussion and problem solving, as well as a chance to connect with other caregivers. These events are designed for adult caregivers only.

Concurrent child programming will be run by Behaviour Interventionists. There will be 10 child program spots per session available for sign up on a first-come-first-served basis (select "Child Program" add-on).

Promoting Early Social Communication Behaviour

Who: Caregivers of children with social communication development needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder or signs of autism) (Ages 2-8)

What: This workshop is for caregivers who are looking to increase interaction and social communication skills with their child. You will learn about the four domains of foundational development of early social communication skills, including joint attention and engagement, gesture use, imitation, and symbolic play. This workshop introduces and follows the key principals from the Project ImPACT curriculum - a goal-focused group offered at the Family Connection Centre.
