About our Floral Wellness Series:
Props designer Amanda Moore found a fresh start through flowers on her own road to recovery. Having left her prior career through her battle with addiction, she felt adrift and struggled to regain her sense of purpose. Embarking on a new path in floral design helped her reclaim a life beyond the lonely and limiting world of addiction. Our signature floral wellness workshop series offers the healing power of flowers to others on their own recovery journey.

Many of us are recovering from something- toxic relationships, negative self-talk, distorted body image, or drugs and alcohol (just to name a few). Flowers are known to have both immediate and lasting positive effects on our mood and sociability. Research shows that growing and working with flowers can increase life satisfaction and decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety.

These sessions are open to all. We welcome anyone seeking to nurture their own mental wellness through the art of flower arranging. There are no prerequisites regarding individual recovery, and participants may be at any stage of their personal journey. Individuals who do not identify as recovering or in recovery are also welcome.

*Sessions are designed solely as a form of community engagement and mutual support. They are not intended to replace medical, psychological or other mental health treatment. They are in no way affiliated with the Canadian Horticultural Therapy Association.
