Let's shrug the winter blues away this March with community, learning and beer! Please note that we are hosting double sessions for Sessions #1 and Sessions #3, so make sure you purchase the ticket for your ideal time slot. Whether you are brand new to beer, or a "saison-ed" expert, you will learn and have a wonderful time in a positive, inclusive environment. Both venues are accessible.

NOTE: the date you purchase tickets for might not match with the date printed on your ticket. Don’t worry- we have your name filed under the session you’ve requested!

Session #1: March 1st /Early Bird 6-8pm or Nighthawk 9-11pm/Wellington Brewery

The Great Race

Exploring every step of the life of a beer, from early beginnings as a wee grain of malted barley, to the final product coming off of the canning line, your team will be challenged with fun, engaging activities along the way. You can expect blind tastings, skill testing questions, clue-hunting and so much more! For those of you coming solo, we will ensure your position on friendly team of fellow beer-lovers. Both beer nerd and total newbie appropriate. All will learn and have a blast!


Session #2: March 8th/7:30p-9:30p/10C (42 Carden)

Mastering Malts

Welcome to the Soul of Beer. We will examine the formulation of a grain bill, the transition from barley to malt, alternative grains and agricultural practices. A hands-on experience, you will experiment with different grains to figure out what their benefits are including aroma, taste and appearance in beer. Get ready to geek out with our roasty little friends!


Session #3: March 15th/Early Bird 6-8pm or Nighthawk 9-11pm/10C (42 Carden)

Beer & Cheese PLUS

Beer and cheese are a match made in heaven, we all know that by now! Let’s expand our knowledge of fermented foods by travelling back in time to the days of the traditional farmhouse kitchen. We will explore all things fermented (cheeses, sourdough, and veggies) paired with unique Ontario craft brews.


Session #4: March 22nd/7:30p-9:30p/10C (42 Carden)

Return to the Roundtable

Delving into current and cutting edge topics in the craft beer industry, expect to be challenged, motivated and inspired by this eclectic group of presenters. Diversity, Mindfulness, Controversy and more, with an offering of a variety of incredible brews with which to absorb all the information.


As per QoC mandate, all profits from this series of events as will be donated to Guelph Wellington Women-In-Crisis, as well as a small donation from each can of QoC brew sold.
