This workshop will discuss the dangers of sexual health education that fails to be queer and gender diverse inclusive.
About this event
Sexual health education in Canada is notourious for its inadequacy, and roots in fear, shame, and abstinence. Within its limitations is the constant undertone of heteronormativity. This workshop will further discuss the dangers of sexual health education that fails to be queer inclusive and provide useful information for queer and trans folks to be able to better advocate for their sexual health, and for service providers to be better equipped to provide sexual health education and care to LGBTQ+ clients.
