Synopsis

After receiving the ashes of his father, with whom he had a distant relationship, Ramón meets Mateo during the isolation of the pandemic. Despite their differences, an unexpected and profound connection grows between them. When Mateo decides to accompany Ramón on a journey to Huancayo to scatter his father’s ashes, the trip becomes an intimate search for reconciliation, healing and the strength to move forward.

Written and directed by Salvador del Solar, Ramón y Ramón (2024) stars Emanuel Soriano and Álvaro Cervantes. A co-production between Peru, Spain and Uruguay, the film had its world premiere in the Horizontes Latinos section of the 72nd San Sebastián International Film Festival.
