The Shelter Valley Concert Series May, 2024 concert features a double-bill concert of amazing local music. Series Host Randy Stewart opens for a set and then introduces us to the undeniable local legend 'Kentucky' Bill McBurney.

'Kentucky' Bill McBurney has taken six decades of travelling and performing to finally settle in Prince Edward County. He's a lifelong veteran of country bars and gin mills throughout the southern US - Florida, Kentucky, Colorado and beyond. Even into the islands of the Caribbean.

He's an undeniable craftsman and a super engaging performer - and has released his latest CD of original music - Fresh Tracks - just last year (2023).

Randy Stewart is a Canadian singer/songwriter who has been performing professionally for more than 30 years. He has been seen on television, heard on radio and recorded by the CBC. His recordings can be found in the delete bins of some of the country’s finest record stores. He has been crusading for years to purge love songs from his performances. His mantra – Sad Songs & Funny Songs ‘I DON’T PLAY LOVE SONGS’ – has become familiar to music fans throughout the region and lead him to seach for the unexpected songs found in the cannons of resistance and protest movements.

There are a lot of performers out there singing about love and relationships – I’m just not one of ‘em”.

Pineapple Productions is extremely proud to present this exclusive concert as our 2024 Shelter Valley Concert Series Season Premiere. The Shelter Valley Concert Series is a monthly series of concerts by area performers presented on the fourth Wednesday of each month from March to November at the Vernonville Community Centre in the heart of Shelter Valley.
