About this event

Reconnecting

Facilitated by Liane Lowe and Barb Shaw

This will be a meaningful, fun and nourishing morning on the beach for caregivers and children in a small group setting. We will invite you to reconnect through mindfulness, supportive conversation, nature play, and music.

What to expect:

  • orientation and land acknowledgement
  • opt in breath and mindfulness exercise
  • music and movement
  • snack and story-time
  • nature art and play activities for children and adults
  • facilitated supportive conversations on our thoughts and feelings about living in today’s changing climate
  • brainstorming simple actions we can take together in our own communities
  • closing circle

Disclaimer: This is not a support group, not a therapy group. This means that emotional authenticity is welcome and appropriate, but using group time for lengthy processing of intense emotional states is not. If I am confused about the difference, I will ask the group facilitators for clarification.
