Reconnecting
Facilitated by Liane Lowe and Barb Shaw
This will be a meaningful, fun and nourishing morning on the beach for caregivers and children in a small group setting. We will invite you to reconnect through mindfulness, supportive conversation, nature play, and music.
What to expect:
- orientation and land acknowledgement
- opt in breath and mindfulness exercise
- music and movement
- snack and story-time
- nature art and play activities for children and adults
- facilitated supportive conversations on our thoughts and feelings about living in today’s changing climate
- brainstorming simple actions we can take together in our own communities
- closing circle
Disclaimer: This is not a support group, not a therapy group. This means that emotional authenticity is welcome and appropriate, but using group time for lengthy processing of intense emotional states is not. If I am confused about the difference, I will ask the group facilitators for clarification.
