Re:POST is an annual one day symposium organized by M.Arch students at the University of Waterloo. Re:POST 2015 will explore opportunities regarding the translation of academic research into methods of practice. The symposium will be composed of three panel discussions followed by an informal workshop for current thesis students. The panel discussions will be structured to support critical conversations behind translating thesis to practice.


The workshop is intended to further expand on the panel discussions through small group conversations. A selection of graduate students have the opportunity to engage with practitioners and to position their ongoing thesis work within the symposium's theme. The objective is to situate academic research and design explorations within the professional discourse. Each of the Presenter and Respondent pairs will lead one of the three workshops.

All graduate student are welcome to attend the workshop. Students wishing to present their thesis to the participating practitioners and fellow students should sign up in one of the three workshops. Registration is limited to 7 graduate students per panel. Presenting students should follow a 11 x 17 format and pin-up their posters in the loft by 3:00 pm.
