Are you a newcomer looking for work?

Do you need help to improve your resume?

If you answered yes, come to this event!

The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with tools and guidance to build an effective resume in support of their job search. Specific learning outcomes will include:

  • Recognize the purpose of a resume as a marketing tool
  • Establish a practice for creating a master resume
  • Develop effective content to outline experience and background
  • Understand the structure and purpose of accomplishment statements
  • Identify three primary layouts of a resume
  • Review what to include and not to include in a resume
  • Share learnings with peers to foster further reflection and practice

This will be a three-hour, single session aimed at providing participants with information on resume development. The session is planned as a single offering however, we may provide value for additional groups including Resume Clinic support.

Our presenter will be Suzanne Knight who has over 15 years of local experience in different areas of Human Resources such as talent acquisition, health and wellness, on-boarding, performance management among many others.
