WHO ARE THE ARTSISTS?

Kaya Ko @kaya.ko.music

Kaya Ko is a queer, non-binary, first-generation Filipinx settler, born and raised on Turtle Island. A bridge between worlds, Kaya’s musical style ranges from acoustic folk to RnB/Soul to Hiphop and Westcoast EDM. Always seeking to break barriers between genres, walks of life and ways of being, their music stems from the honest depths of their soul and is bound to strike chords in the heart of any listener.

Alexia Acuña @alexia.acunaa

Alexia is an interdisciplinary artist; music, is her main outlet to how she processes life and all the various emotions that come with the human experience. Their intention is to share their art and gratitudes in hopes to reach out to people that resonate and connect with it. Music has always inspired and helped me move through, more specifically, difficult situations whether it be listening or creating, and she hopes, through her music, that she can extend that kind of support or to maybe just make someone feel heard.

Gabriel Regehr @gabe_does_music

Gabriel Regehr is a Filipino-Canadian Pianist and self-taught Saxophonist from Coquitlam, British Columbia. At the age of 14, Gabriel picked up the saxophone as a requirement for his high school Jazz Band, only to improve very quickly and perform at his first show after just 1 month of playing. Since 2017, he had the opportunity to be a part of the band for New Westminster singer-songwriter, Quinn Pickering, performing at various venues until 2019. He has also performed with YouTuber Alex Villoria, and Coquitlam singer-songwriter, Bukola Balogun. Gabriel is now an accomplished musician, having won titles from Close Look Got Talent, as well as Youth Talent Search BC, and is continuing to perform in the lower mainland as a saxophonist.

The quote that Gabriel lives by is "Music is a world within itself, with a language we all understand" - Stevie Wonder
