Road to Mental Readiness (R2MR): Train the Trainer
Event Information
About this Event
The Road to Mental Readiness (R2MR) program was created by the Department of National Defence (DND) to build awareness of mental illness and operational stress injuries (OSIs) through education, to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, and to increase understanding and support for these conditions. The goal of R2MR is to improve short term performance and long term mental health outcomes. Research has shown that R2MR may provide a benefit to public service personnel (PSP).
To attend this course you must be a public safety personnel or directly support a public safety organization. PSP refers to people who ensure the safety and security of Canadians and includes:

- volunteer or career firefighters
- paramedics, EMT
- correctional employees (provincial or federal)
- border services personnel

- search and rescue personnel
- Indigenous emergency managers

CIPSRT will contact you to evaluate your appropriateness and ensure you meet the criteria before your enrolment will be confirmed.
