About Rotman’s Intercultural Skills Lab

The Intercultural Skills Lab recognizes the challenges you face when navigating new and diverse work cultures.

For more than 10 years, our programs have equipped underemployed professionals with the tools, insights, and real-world experience to advance into new work environments while still channeling the skills and expertise that have shaped their careers so far.

The Rotman Intercultural Skills Lab information series will host multiple sessions for our key programs for internationally educated professionals:

• Business Edge - Change Management Specialization

• Business Edge - Finance Specialization

Take charge of your career and secure the right role with comprehensive communication, leadership, and intercultural training. Note: this program focuses on career advancement and is open to applicants who have a minimum of six months of employment experience in Canada.

Are you looking to move ahead in your current field?

  • The Business Edge Finance and Business Edge Change Management career advancement programs were created specifically for internationally educated professionals with management experience outside of Canada.
  • Applicants have started their careers in Canada, are underemployed and seeking guidance in how to get promoted or find higher level roles. This program is not suitable for people who are aiming to secure their first opportunity in Canada.
  • A full list of eligibility criteria and participant profiles is available on each program website.
  • Learn the skills and strategies to guide diverse teams forward and demonstrate with confidence that you are the right candidate for senior roles.
  • Lead businesses through change effectively by learning how to manage people, processes, and the culture of change.

A unique program designed for Internationally Educated Professionals who have become unemployed due to the pandemic and are aiming to transition to the highly sought after Supply Chain or Technical Sales sectors in Canada.

Our program content has been developed for internationally trained professionals to overcome some of the barriers in networking and help them broaden their professional connections, effectively communicate their value and help them navigate through the Canadian workplace. Our programs are sector specific where they can explore career possibilities in Finance, Change Management, Supply Chain & Tech Sales.

The Rotman Intercultural Skills Lab is pleased to announce our newest program Navigating Intercultural Complexities specifically designed for managers and team leads.

The 5-week program will provide participants with critical strategies to help their teams increase employee engagement, counter unconscious bias, and build a more inclusive work environment.
