Sakura - Songs from the Tree of Life (Sidney, BC)

Newcombe Singers is proud to present Sakura, a concert of lush choral music celebrating cherry blossoms in springtime; performed under the musical direction of Kathryn Whitney with piano accompanist Robert Jan Dukarm.

The concert will feature the Japanese Heritage Language School Choir (Kumiko Forsyth, director), the Furusato Dancers, cellist Vannophat Kaploykeo, and thrilling music by Bob Chilcott, Ramona Luengen, John Rutter, Imant Raminsh, Clara Schumann, Larry Nickel and Cait Nishimura.

NOTE 1: Children who are 12 and under will be admitted for free.

NOTE 2: This concert is also being performed on Sunday, May 5 @ 3pm at St. Mary the Virgin, Anglican Church, 1701 Elgin Road, Victoria, BC
