Science Atlantic Undergraduate Psychology Conference 2022 (May 4 and 5)

Welcome to Science Atlantic's Undergraduate Psychology Conference. We have a great lineup of events for this two day virtual conference that will be held on May 4th and 5th, 2022.

This year's Science Atlantic Psychology conference will kickoff on May 4th (11:30 am - 4:30 pm) with an interactive and collaborative hackathon where you will work in small teams to suggest and/or develop content for an existing Introductory Psychology Textbook that is available as an open educational resource. No experience is necessary to participate. The hackathon will give you an opportunity to share your ideas and to use your existing skills to benefit future Psychology undergraduate students.

On May 5th (Day 2 of the conference, 9 am - 5 pm) students will have an opportunity to share their research with a receptive and engaged audience. Students will have the option of presenting their research as a poster (5 minute presentation with a pdf copy of your poster visible to the audience + 2-3 minutes for questions) or as a research snapshot (5 minute presentation using a maximum of 3 slides + 2-3 minutes for questions). A small number of student researchers will have an opportunity to share their research as featured talks (10-12 minute presentation + 2-3 minutes for questions). Feature talks will be selected on the basis of relevance and interest to a broad audience. The deadline to register as a presenter is April 18, 2022.

We will also have a keynote presentation and an ask-me-anything career panel focused on careers in Psychology.

Registration for the hackathon on May 4th is free and is open to all who are interested from Psychology. There is a registration fee for the conference on May 5th; registration is open to student presenters, student observers, and faculty and staff. Invited guests (e.g., panelists, moderators) are asked to register but will not be required to pay a registration fee. Please register to reserve your ticket 🎟️!
