The York University Faculty of Science invites you and your family to our

Science Open House

on Saturday April 30, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00pm.

We take pride in offering admission to students who have some of the highest incoming averages at York University. We are eager to help you fulfill your potential and have designed an opportunity for you to speak with our globally-renowned professors, meet future classmates, and get a glimpse of the facilities and research that is done here.

We have planned a series of Q&A panels, tours, presentations, demonstrations that will give you a sense of what life is like in one of Canada’s most robust and prestigious science programs. You will get to ask questions about what to expect, academically and socially, and the career and academic opportunities that await you as a York Science graduate. We hope to see you at Science Open House.

Throughout the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit information tables and meet professors and students from our departments and their programs: Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geography, First-Year Integrated Science, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics & Astronomy, Science & Technology Studies.

Don’t forget to visit our representatives from Bethune College, your home college, who can tell you about social life at York and the variety of learning and support systems in place. Also, find out about our Helix Summer Institute which provides a series of week-long workshops featuring senior university level advanced topics. A residence option is available, to provide a real preview of life at university.
