Discover music from Hawes and Stanford. As we celebrate Charles Villiers Stanford’s 100th anniversary of death, Lyrica will present its three latin motets. This includes the well known Beati Quorum Via. As well Patrick Hawes extended work uses the eight verses of St. Matthew's Gospel that form the beloved Beatitudes. It explores the character of each verse through melody, texture, and style as the piano weaves throughout.
