Meet the Presenters

Tim Dickau - Citygate Vancouver

Tim Dickau is the Executive Director of Citygate Vancouver, an organization that seeks to address the systemic issues of food insecurity, housing, mental health and more in our city. Prior to joining Citygate, he was pastor for over 30 years; working with his congregation to find creative ways to bear witness to the good news of God’s reconciling and restoring love through community living, welcome of the poor and the stranger, and economic development through social enterprises. Tim is a husband, father and grandfather and finds great joy in this season where he can watch his young grandchildren grow.

Cheryl McManus - CityReach Care Society

Cheryl is the Associate Director of CityReach Care Society, which includes overseeing the Adopt-A-School iniatives that currenlty serve over 45 schools across Greater Vancouver. She has worked in Next Gen ministry and para-church leadership for over 15 years. As a wife and mom to three young children, life inside and outside of work is full of life and adventure. She believes the local church is the hope of the world and loves being in ‘the Hope business’.

Ricky Lee - Promise Vancouver

Ricky is husband to Lisa and father to two girls (Julian 14, Joelle 12). He has been in the adventure of ‘people-development’ in both church and parachurch contexts for over 25 years, and since 2020 as Executive Director at Promise Vancouver. Here, his team is helping youth discover their inherent value through meaningful relationship and intentional programming in the Downtown Eastside. Other hats that Ricky enjoys wearing are volleyball coach, road tripper, worship leader, and art dabbler.

Loretta Hibbs - CityDream Centre

Loretta is the Founder and President of City Dream Centre, a non-profit organization offering support to the most vulnerable populations in the City of Surrey and beyond. Loretta’s heart is to help individuals and families move from poverty, homelessness, addiction, and prison, to a life of hope and self-sufficiency. After 20 years on staff at Relate Church, she moved to her role at City Dream Centre in 2017. She has been married for 40 years to her husband David and has 4 married children and 10 grandchildren. Her vision is to bring value and dignity to those in need in a practical way.

David Innes - Vancouver Urban Ministries

David is the Executive Director of Vancouver Urban Ministries, with a vision to help disadvantaged children with learning difficulties take big strides in their education, confidence, faith, and life. Since leaving a banking career, he found himself drawn to working with the broken and disadvantaged in the community. David is passionate about working to restore hope, build self-esteem, and mend broken relationships. He is energized by the opportunity to work with disadvantaged children so that they can progress in their education and fulfill their potential in life.
