Simple Soup Series - Asparagus Soup

Classes at the 1909 Culinary Academy combine a hands-on cooking experience with delicious tasting experiences.

Join us for a brand new culinary experience: the Simple Soup Series. We've taken our usual three hour class and trimmed it down to focus on one specific recipe.

In this culinary event, we'll work in groups to prepare one of our signature soups. Today, it's ASPARGUS SOUP because asparagus is in season in Ontario! Fresh and locally grown, we'll source Ontario asparagus for this creamy soup. This asparagus soup tastes rich, yet it’s made without heavy cream – just veggies, broth, and a bit of Parmesan cheese puréed to silky perfection. Of course, we'll pair it with our famous garlic knots.

Once our soup is ready, we'll sit down together to enjoy this dish that will become a staple in your own kitchen.

Sometimes we have leftovers. Please bring your own reusable containers and water bottle to help us reduce the use of single use plastics.
