Join us for an evening designed for singles to meet, mix, and mingle as we prepare an exciting menu together. This is a version of not-so-speedy, speed dating: 1909 culinary-style.
First, you must be single, unattached, and available to fully enjoy this event. We'll bring all the ingredients and cooking expertise...you bring a willingness to meet new people while cooking together.
During this event, guests will rotate throughout each cooking station during our two hours of planned cooking time. Then, you'll sit down to enjoy the dishes you've created.
What's on our menu?
We'll start off with a Thai inspired Butternut Squash Soup that is smooth, creamy, and a little bit spicy (you determine the level of heat in this dish). This dish is gluten free.
Our entree includes a decadent herb & butter basted New York Striploin and Seared Scallop paired with a parsnip puree, and beer-braised carrots. Sauteed mushrooms make this dish complete.
For dessert you can choose to make one of three options. Individual Apple Crumble, Maple Crème Brûlée, or a lighter option of a red wine poached pear.
At the end of class, you'll sit down to enjoy the dishes you've made.
The 1909 Culinary Academy is licenced. We have a drink menu of beer, wine, and assorted cocktails for you to enjoy throughout the event.
Sometimes we have leftovers. Please bring your own reusable containers to help us reduce the use of single use plastics.
