Join us from 9 am to 4 pm at the BDI Gym in Beauval as we dive into:

• How to start a business in Saskatchewan
• How to generate ideas for a business startup or expansion project
• How to create a Business Model Canvas that gives you a roadmap on how to move forward with your ideas
• And learn what resources exist to support you in your business journey.

Lunch is included and the workshop is free to attend!

About the Fundamentals of Starting a Business Workshop:

This presentation covers all the fundamental steps you need to know in order to start a business in Saskatchewan.

Topics include:

• coming up with a business idea and legal structure
• determining startup costs and funding options
• registering and licensing the business-business strategy and formal business plan writing
• marketing and advertising ideas
• accounting and bookkeeping basics-taxes, payroll, and workers compensation details

Josh Buchanan is a Business Management Consultant for Magnaltus Consulting which is based in Saskatoon. Josh is a specialist in all-things business management and is passionate about helping people start, build, grow, and improve their businesses. He has worked with entrepreneurs at all stages of business and in a variety of different industries.

The Business Model Canvas is a strategic management and entrepreneurial tool that allows you to describe, design, challenge, invent, and pivot your business model. It gives an overview to help you identify requirements in order to deliver your service or product.

Through this interactive workshop, you will become familiar with best practices, tools, and methods that will enable you to:

• Analyze your current business model in a simple, holistic, and visual way
• Assess the consistency of your business model and compare it to competitors
