About this event

The NL Social Enterprise & Innovation Coalition is pleased to offer a local event for the Social Enterprise World Forum on Tuesday, September 28 at the St. John’s Farmers’ Market. This jam-packed day of exciting content will be a source of inspiration, knowledge exchange, and policy recommendations to spur development, acceleration and expansion of social enterprises across our province.

Events at the NL Community Hub will feature the stories of successful local social enterprises, promote opportunities for growth in the social enterprise sector, and provided an opportunity to learn from global social enterprise leaders. This will be a chance to highlight opportunities for social enterprise growth, including next steps for social procurement and social financing.

Who is this event for?

This event is for anyone who is interested in the development and expansion of social enterprises in NL. This includes (but is not limited to) those who work or volunteer with existing social enterprises, those are involved with a non-profit organization, policy makers, students and researchers, members of the business community, and the general public.

How will the event be structured?

Your ticket will provide you with access to a full day worth of local and live-streamed content which we will enjoy together at the St. John’s Farmers’ Market on Tuesday, September 28. During this day, you will engage with live-streamed international content aimed at spurring discussion during breaks and meals throughout the day, peppered between locally-curated panels, world cafes, and presentations. Your ticket provides you with access to the live event on Tuesday, September 28 and a full day of international digital content which you can stream at home or from your office on Wednesday, September 29. Please see below for a full schedule.

How much do tickets cost?

We have a recommended ticket price of $100.00. This covers the costs of the in-person event and two full days of digital content. This event will be fully catered by a local social enterprise.

In an effort to ensure accessibility, we are pleased to offer a sliding scale, with ticket prices ranging from $25.00 to $125.00. Purchasing tickets at above the recommended $100 price point will offset the cost of tickets for folks who opt-in to the lower price point.
