About this event

Social Innovation at Innovate Calgary has a new home and we'd love if you could join us to celebrate!

After years of testing, iterating, listening and learning, we're excited to be opening the doors to the Social Innovation Hub! This is both the beginning of a journey and an incredible milestone in our work so far, and we couldn't imagine letting it pass without the community of innovators and ecosystem builders that make it possible.

Brief remarks will be followed by a panel discussion from social innovators who are pushing the boundaries of 'who, what, and where' in social innovation. The remainder of the morning will be dedicated to networking, knowledge sharing, and community building activities (with prizes!) that showcase some of the incredible spaces and resources available in our ecosystem.

Event schedule is as follows:

  • 10:00 Welcome
  • 10:15 Opening remarks from Ed McCauley, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calgary, and John Wilson, CEO of Innovate Calgary
  • 10:30 Innovator panel, moderated by Jordana Armstrong, Director of the Social Innovation Hub
  • 11:00 Networking and activities
  • 11:50 Closing remarks and prizes

Light refreshments will be served.

Cost: Free

Parking: Paid parking is available. Alternatively, we'd encourage you to consider carpooling or using the CTrain (Brentwood Station).
